- The Greater London Authority last week confirmed that a total of £40,000 will be allocated from the
Mayor’s Legacy Fund towards the cost of the two facilities. With matched funding from Waltham Forest
Council, Tower Hamlets Council and Access Sport, a total of £67,000 will be available. This will enable refurbishment of the Waltham Forest track at Cheney Row playing fields and the construction of a new
BMX pump track at Mile End Park.The press release can be found here:

agreed to support the development of the BMX tracks in Waltham Forest and Tower Hamlets. A
successful community BMX club needs a quality home track that it can hold regular club sessions
and competitions on and with these two tracks all 5 clubs in the BMX Legacy Project now have access
to their own BMX facility
